How are volume charges calculated?
Your UK overnight shipment will be charged by the actual dead weight, or the volumetric weight, whichever is greater. Your quotes are subject to weight and dimension verification at our depot and if the weight changes, due to the dimension, you’ll receive an email letting you know. Here’s an easy way to work out the chargeable weight of your shipment:
Length (cms) x Height (cms) x Width (cms) divided by 5000 = volume weight in Kgs.
What is an over-gauge shipment and how will it affect the price and delivery time?
If any single package exceeds 30kgs (dead or volume weight,) is over 120cm in length, or if the total dimensions are over 330cms in combined length and girth, your shipment will be charged an over-gauge surcharge, as it is too large to be processed via the standard UK overnight network. We can still accept your shipment and deliver it, but there may be an extra day or two in transit time, due to the logistics of moving your over-gauge shipment across the UK.
Do you need Security Tagging?
If your package is valuable, precious or fragile, we can upgrade your delivery and separate it from other goods as it travels across the UK. Then you can track your package through every individual stage of its journey, using the latest Security Tagging system to give you absolute peace of mind.
Security Tagging can be arranged at the point of booking, for a charge of £10 per shipment.
